Official Contract Signing Ceremony between Royal Brunei Technical Services and Ministry of Health for the ‘Supply Chain Management Services Of Medicinal Products, Critical Medicine and Medical Consumables’

Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd (RBTS) signed an agreement for “The Supply Chain Management Services of Medicinal Products, Critical Medicine, and Medical Consumables” with the Ministry of Health today Monday, 21 December 2020 / 06 Jamadilawal 1442H at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

In attendance to witness the contract signing were Guests of Honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohammad Isham Bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Minister at The Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, as well as Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin Bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister Finance (Fiscal), Ministry of Finance and Economy, who is also the Chairman of Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd.

Also present during the event was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Yang Mulia Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry of Health, Members of Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, Heads of Departments, and officers from the  Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd .

The signing of the agreement, on behalf of His Majesty’s Government, was done by Yang Mulia Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Management) and the Director of Pharmaceutical Services, Wong Wai See, as witness.

Meanwhile, signing on behalf of Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd was Chief Administrative Officer, Hajah Rapiah binti Haji Mat Daud, and witnessed by Mohd Ammar Norfakhri bin Awang Kharin, Senior Business Development Associate.

With this agreement, the company shall perform their services to operate the State Medical Store (SMS), procuring, supply medicinal products, critical medicine, and medical consumables to all the Government Hospitals, Clinics, and Health Centers in the country. The commencement date for the delivery services with effect 01 October 2020, for a duration of six (6) years until 30 September 2026.

Through the company’s expertise in Supply Chain Management, and Strategic Procurement, Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd aims to bring value-added benefits and cost effectiveness to His Majesty’s Government by implementing industry best-practices, and improvements to the overall operations, logistics and warehouse management, in order to position the Ministry of Health towards delivering quality and robust healthcare services to the public.

Majlis Penandatanganan Kontrak Perjanjian di antara Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd (RBTS) dan Kementerian Kesihatan untuk perkhidmatan “Pengurusan Rantaian Perbekalan Ubat-Ubatan dan Barangan Gunahabis Perubatan” telah diadakan pada hari Isnin, 06 Jamadilawal 1442 bersamaan 21 Disember 2020 di Hospital Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Selaha (RIPAS).

Hadir selaku Tetamu-Tetamu Kehormat untuk menyaksikan penandatanganan kontrak perjanjian berkenaan ialah Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohammad Isham Bin Haji Jaafar, Menteri Kesihatan. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Kewangan dan Ekonomi II dan Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin Bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Timbalan Menteri Kewangan (Fiskal), Kementerian Kewangan dan Ekonomi, selaku Pengerusi RBTS Sdn Bhd.

Turut hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Kesihatan, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Kesihatan, ahli-ahli Lembaga Pengarah, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Ketua-Ketua Jabatan, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-Pegawai dari Kementerian Kesihatan dan Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd.

Yang Mulia Awg Haji Maswadi Bin Haji Mohsin, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Dasar dan Pengurusan) telah menandatangani bagi pihak Kementerian Kesihatan, yang mana telah disaksikan oleh Yang Mulia Wong Wai See, Pengarah Perkhidmatan Farmasi.

Manakala Royal Brunei Technical Services Sdn Bhd pula ditandatangani oleh Yang Mulia Hajah Rapiah Binti Haji Mat Daud, Ketua Pegawai Pentadbir dan disaksikan oleh Yang Mulia Mohd Ammar Norfakhri Bin Awang Kharin, Pegawai Pembangunan Perniagaan Kanan.

Dengan perjanjian tersebut, syarikat RBTS akan memberikan perkhidmatan dalam pengurusan Stor Perubatan Negara (SPN), pembekalan ubat-ubatan dan barangan gunahabis perubatan ke hospital-hospital, klinik-klinik, dan pusat-pusat kesihatan di Negara Brunei Darussalam. Perkhidmatan ini telah bermula pada 01 Oktober 2020, dalam jangkamasa berlanjutan selama enam (6) tahun sehingga 30 September 2026.

Sebagai pakar isi kandungan dalam pengurusan rantaian pembekalan dan perolehan strategik, syarikat ini berhasrat untuk mendatangkan manfaat yang berlebihan serta penjimatan kos kepada Kerajaan KDYMM melalui penerapan amalan industri terbaik, serta penambahbaikan dalam operasi, logistik, dan pengurusan stor. Dengan ini, Kementerian Kesihatan akan berada dalam kedudukan yang lebih baik dan kukuh untuk memberikan perkhidmatan kesihatan yang berkualiti kepada orang ramai.
